Where it all started

Richmond Blue was born out of a quiet frustration. Finding pieces for the home that were both genuinely useful and genuinely beautiful always seemed harder than it should be. Too often it was one or the other, practical but plain, or lovely but impractical, and rarely the happy place in between.

We thought it ought to be simpler. A home is made of small, everyday moments, the lamp you switch on as the evening draws in, the cushion you reach for on a Sunday afternoon, the lantern that lights the garden on a warm night. The things we live with most deserve a little more thought, and a little more care.

So we set out to build something different. A considered place where every piece earns its spot, chosen for how it looks and how it lives. We wanted the calm, classic sensibility of an English country home, the kind of comfortable elegance that never tries too hard, brought gently into a modern way of shopping.

Everything we offer is hand-picked by our small team. If we wouldn't be happy to have it in our own homes, it doesn't make it into the collection. We would always rather offer one beautiful thing than ten ordinary ones, and we believe a well chosen home is built slowly, one loved piece at a time.
